ESG Sustainable Development
FEBICO is a pioneer in Taiwan's biotechnology industry, focusing on microalgae research and development technology and applications for more than 40 years. We are committed to creating value for all stakeholders, including our customers, employees, shareholders and the communities where we operate.
We recognize that environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors are critical to our long-term success and sustainable growth. First we surveyed the plant's electricity usage and set a goal of reducing 3% energy consumption per year. For the past two years, we have achieved our goal through the use of more energy-efficient machinery and the use of off-peak electricity.
Additionally, FEBICO is actively involved in many charitable activities, reaching out to those in need in our local Pingtung community; especially family in need of educational assistance. We hope that FEBICO's contribution to education will lead to better opportunities for young people and that they will give back to the community in the future.
The process of microalgae cultivation will absorb CO2. With our unique carbon fixation microalgae technology, the factory can gradually reduce the use of energy. FEBICO will continue to incorporate ESG into our business strategy and operations on the basis of carbon fixation by microalgae to enhance the positive influences of society.
